This position is the glue that holds the company together. My right hand. You provide the structure, organisation and slick communication skills to ensure
everything runs smoothly.
This allows the company to grow sustainably and profitably through a) high leverage and optimisation of the CEO’s time and b) removing the friction points of growth e.g systems for onboarding and training new team members, more consistent and
replicable inter team communication etc.
Results
a) Organisation - me, team, clients - You are an absolute ninja when it comes to tracking all my various projects and commitments. I have what I need when I need it.
Inbox zero is the holy grail! Militant diary management is essential.The company's documents, contracts, IP etc are obsessively organised. We don't waste time looking for $%&!!
You design and implement the system as well as make sure the team stays compliant!
Client files are organised and any gaps/discrepancies are closed
b) Communication - me, team and clients
We have an uber direct communication style.
Down to earth. You gather and relay on the necessary info in a no nonsense style. You are preemptive in being able to tell me what I need to know, before I have to ask. You also take ownership of cutting through all the ‘noise’ aimed in my direction and
synthesise it down to the most important points and get the answers you need from me in order to keep things moving. Our virtual team knows what is going on within the company as well as the expectations on them for what we need communicated back!
You’re good at ‘reading between the lines’ as to what is going on for team members and either dealing with it or bringing to my attention as appropriate
c) Implementation or Sub-delegation - You research, clarify, implement various tasks, projects — alternatively sub-delegate it to the relevant team member and ensure they follow through properly
and on time.
d) Other Ops - Finance, HR - Effectively head of HR! Contracts, holidays, grievances - also from a cultural perspective! Effectively a financial controller - AR, AP and intercompany/inter account transfers
