Job Description

As an Assistant Accountant & Document Controller, you will support the finance team and ensure the smooth management of financial documentation and accounting tasks. Your role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the preparation of financial reports, and managing company documents with great attention to detail. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that records and processes are up to date and compliant with company standards.

Success in this position will be defined by your ability to maintain organized financial documentation, support the team with accurate reporting, and help streamline the documentation process within the organization. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and success of the finance department and company operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Support: Assist in maintaining and reconciling financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger entries.
  • Financial Reporting: Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure that reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Document Control: Oversee the management, organization, and archiving of company documents, including financial records, contracts, and other critical business documentation.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure that all financial and company documents adhere to internal policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Track and record financial transactions related to company assets, materials, and supplies.
  • Administrative Support: Provide additional administrative support to the finance and operations teams as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth communication and effective handling of both financial and non-financial documents.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in document control and management practices.
  • Certifications: Any certifications in accounting or document control are a plus.
